Music is an important part of
congregational life at The Nor'kirk. We have several
professional musicians and many more amateurs who contribute to
our music programs. There are a number of active programs,
yet things are constantly
changing at The Nor'kirk. So if you want to participate in a
group or even help start a new one contact our Music Director,
Eric Moellering, by
email or through the church office
at 972-492-1578.
Chancel Choir
Adults and older youth sing in the chancel choir, which
regularly sings at the 10:45 worship service. The choir
occasionally sings at the 8:30 worship service, such as for
Christmas cantatas or on Round-Up Sunday. There is no
audition for the chancel choir; you just need to be able to make
a joyful noise! Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from
7:20 to 8:45, and babysitting is available. Contact Eric Moellering.

Orchestra
The
Nor'kirk Orchestra is an intergenerational group of
musicians,
founded in 2000, and directed by Charlotte Moellering. The
orchestra rehearses for several months during each school
semester and performs at the church several times a year, both
in worship services and in evening concerts. Membership
requires only one year of study on your instrument and a
willingness to share your God-given talent with others. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 6:00
to 7:00, and babysitting is available. Contact Charlotte Moellering through the church office at 972-492-1578.

Handbells
The Kirk Ringers, directed by Kay Fullerton, rehearse Sunday
mornings at 9:30am.
The bells include our original set donated by the Dodd family,
an additional octave in memory of Carl Miller, and a set of
chimes. If you want to
try your "hand" at bells, come join this fun-loving group!
Contact Kay through the church office at 972-492-1578.
